Moira is currently the Chair of the Bar Council of Northern Ireland, a position which she has held since September 2022.
Prior to becoming Chair, Moira had been a member of the previous Bar Council and had also served on the Bar’s Professional Conduct Committee
Moira studied Law at Queen’s University Belfast. She was called to the Bar in 1995 and took silk in 2014.
Moira has a specialist family law practice. Her work includes public law cases, private law cases, adoptions, international work, child abductions, domestic abuse and finance cases.
In her work, Moira represents public bodies, parents and children.
Moira was sworn in as a Deputy County Court Judge in 2023 and is a Bencher of the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland.
